While walking with my daughter on Waiheke a few summers ago, a kereru swooped out of the bushes and flew straight in front of us - her size, beautiful colours and grace blew me away and inspired this piece here.
Surrounded with an emerald, green light, she perches upon a golden-brown branch looking out over the land below her.
